The ESF will fund our workshop

Some days ago I received an e-mail from the European Science Foundation (ESF) activity XXXX that started like this:
Dear Dr. Ares
I am pleased to inform you that the Steering Committee of the ESF activity entitled 'XXXX' has decided to support your Workshop on 'Complexity in Multicellular Environments' to be held on 18/09/2013 - 18/09/2013 in Barcelona, Spain with a contribution of YYYY EUR.
So, after all the noise sparked by a previous post on this blog about how the ESF refused to fund events in Spain (with articles in Science, El País, El Mundo, El Periódico, or blogs like Nada es Gratis, just to mention a few examples), it seems that some of the issues between the ESF and Spain have been settled. I don't know if this has anything to do with the reaction to my post. I actually don't think so, but in any case I am happy that things are better.

So, many thanks to the ESF and its XXXX activity! And you are still on time to register for our workshop, so don't hesitate to check it out! Also, if you are member of the SEBBM, we may have a grant for you (thanks, SEBBM).
